The Social Foundations of ConstitutionsThe approach of this programme is to study constitutions and constitutionalism in their social context, emphasizing their character, goals, and their links to socio-economic and political factors.
The programme will assess the importance of historical factors in shaping constitutional thought by examining the concept of representation, the character of modern administrative government, and the role of the judiciary.
