Democracy, the Courts and the Making of Public Policy

Courts Volume 1
This selection of policy briefs has its origin in the launch conference of the Foundation's programme on Courts and the Making of Public Policy, held in Oxford in 2006. They pose both empirical and normative questions as to the efficacy and justification of judicial involvement in the public policy process.

Written by prominent scholars from around the world and from a range of academic disciplines, they provide a stimulating introduction to the work of the programme.
