About us

FLJS offices
The Foundation for Law, Justice and Society is an independent institution affiliated with the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at the University of Oxford, and with Wolfson College, where our offices are based in North Oxford.

Founded in 2005, the mission of the Foundation is to study, reflect on, and promote an understanding of the role that law plays in society. This is achieved by analysing issues of contemporary interest and importance through our three programmes, further information about which is available from the link on the right.

In doing so, it draws on the work of scholars and researchers, and aims to make its work easily accessible to practitioners and professionals, whether in government, business, or the law. Our policy briefs, reports, and working papers can be downloaded from our Publications page, via the Related links box on the right.

To order a free copy of our information brochure, containing full details of our programmes, publications, and events, send an email to: info AT fljs.org, or download it from the links on the right.
